Westhill Land and Property has successfully secured planning permission on two sites at Northwood Business Campus in Santry.

Plans for a major residential-led masterplan of 381 residential units and 57,812 sq ft of commercial floorspace were secured under separate planning applications. Northwood 1 (NW1) which includes plans for 198 apartments and 29,762 sq ft of commercial floorspace was approved in August 2019, with consent for Northwood 2 (NW2) which includes a further 183 residential units and 28,050 sq ft of commercial following in March 2020. The scheme consists of studio, one, two and three- bedroom apartments and includes residents’ facilities such as parking, roof gardens, a café, running track and concierge desk.

The sites are located within the popular residential suburb to the north of Dublin City Centre, strategically located within a five-minute drive of both Dublin Airport and Dublin City University and just twenty-minutes from Dublin City Centre. Also a short walk from Northwood is Santry Demesne, a 72-acre park.

The commercial hubs of Northwood Business Campus and Swift Square are both less than a five-minute walk away, home to the likes of BMW Ireland, Close Bros and Lenovo amongst many others. Northwood is expected to appeal to employees from these commercial hubs as well as to the large Dublin Airport workforce and employees from the airport’s logistics campus. It is also expected to appeal to those working in the City Centre who will be able to benefit from more affordable rents in this location.

In addition to the existing transport links, a key priority under Project Ireland 2040 is the creation of a Metrolink system, and significantly Northwood Business Campus will soon have its own station, which will provide a direct, fast route to both Dublin Airport and the City Centre.
